The Gateway Spoon is a partnership of Gateway Mission and Creative Dining Services that brings together fresh ingredients from local farmers to create delightful dishes and baked goods.
The Gateway Spoon is a place for community. We invite you to gather around the table with your friends, family, or faith groups to enjoy both traditional breakfast fare, fresh coffee and creative specials.
Celebrate Tulip Time at The Spoon!
We’re opening our doors early during the Tulip Time festivities! Visit us for delicious breakfast and lunch options starting at 6am on May 8th-12th. Weekday visitors will also enjoy 25% off the price of entrees purchased between 6am and 10:30am!
We’ll also be open for extended hours on Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 12th) – visit us from 6am-3pm for a delicious meal mom is sure to love.
As a bonus, moms who enjoy breakfast at The Spoon between 6am and 10:30am can enjoy their entree for free – only on Mother’s Day!

Smoked Brisket Biscuit
A pile of smoky Beef Brisket, topped with melty Smoked Gouda and Cole Slaw — served open face on a butter-brushed Biscuit.
Green Caprese
Pesto, Mozzarella, and Roasted Tomato with Baby Spinach, brushed with Olive Oil and Parmesan.
Farmer's Breakfast
Two Cage-Free Eggs Fried or Scrambled, Spoon Hash, choice of Applewood Bacon or Pork Sausage, and choice of deBoer Bakery Toast.
Buttermilk Flapjack Stack
Flapjacks made with fresh Michigan Buttermilk and served with maple syrup. Chocolate chips, Reese’s, bananas, blueberries, and pecans are all available to add on.

Gateway Spoon amplifies the work of Gateway Mission, providing resources, opportunity and hope for neighbors in need. The Spoon will offer Gateway Mission program participants the opportunity to gain hands-on, on-site job training in the hospitality sector.

Featured Artist – Patricia Flynn
Gateway Spoon is collaborating with the Holland Area Arts Council to feature locally made artwork in the restaurant. The HAAC helps connect The Spoon with Holland area artists to showcase their work and fill the restaurant with brilliant art.
Our current featured artist is Patricia Flynn, a watercolor artist from Holland, MI. You can find more about Flynn on her website at www.patriciaflynn.com.
Patricia’s works are currently on display at The Spoon and available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting the artist as well Gateway Mission and HAAC.
Paricia’s artwork will also be featured at our next Art of the Spoon event, on Thursday, June 6th, 2024 from 5-6:30pm at The Spoon – we hope to see you there!
